Men’s hoops: Longar to play?
By Scott Wright
Oklahoma center Longar Longar was nowhere to be seen during pregame stretching for the Sooners before Wednesday night’s game against Iowa State. But about 25 minutes before tip-off, the 6-foot-11 senior emerged from the Lloyd Noble Center tunnel in uniform and appears to be ready to play.
His mobility is far better than it was earlier this week and he’s going through shooting drills with the team at near full speed.
Longar has missed the last two games with a broken bone above his right ankle. He had been playing on what was diagnosed as a stress fracture for about three weeks until he injured it worse in a Feb. 2 loss at Texas A&M. Longar had been cleared to play with the injury, but the pain was too much for him to bear.
Longar’s return would restore some depth to the Sooners’ frontcourt, which had been trimmed to the duo of brothers Blake and Taylor Griffin.
Men’s hoops: Recruiting update

I’ll try to have some more on this in the paper this week, but here’s a look at a few of the guys OU coach Jeff Capel is looking at to potentially fill Keith Clark’s open scholarship next season.
I should first point out that Clark was hanging around Lloyd Noble Center Tuesday afternoon and apparently watched a practice. The door is not closed on Clark coming back to OU if he can get his grades in order at Rose State College. But OU is still looking at some possibilities and have extended offers to a few players.
