Men’s hoops: Blake suited up
By Scott Wright
From my courtside seat here at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas, still an hour before tipoff between Baylor and OU, I can tell you that Blake Griffin’s knee is improving quickly.
I watched him work out with the team Wednesday and the difference from then to now is unbelievable. He’s moving fluidly, jumping and shooting turnaround jumpers — three things he couldn’t have hoped to do three days ago.
He’s in uniform, but I still don’t think he’s in condition to play. Bedlam on Monday night would be a longshot right now, too. But Texas A&M next Saturday? It could be a distinct possibility.
Blake was supposed to meet with Dr. Brock Schnebel before the Sooners left for Waco Friday, so hopefully coach Jeff Capel can shed some light on the situation after today’s game.
Check back for more later.
