Oklahoma State is 0-12 against Texas since Mack Brown’s been the head coach of the Longhorns. The Cowboys haven’t won in Austin since 1944. Will OSU make history this weekend? Jenni Carlson wrote about Texas’ remarkably bad season and says the Cowboys shouldn’t worry about the game unless the Longhorns decide to change quarterbacks. Brandon Chatmon talked to Cowboys fans about their mood on one of the greatest seasons in Oklahoma State history. Berry Tramel says this weekend’s game could mean a lot for OSU’s future with the new-look Big 12.

Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears visit Stillwater Saturday to play the Cowboys at 11:30 a.m. Can OSU stop Griffin? John Helsley examines five factors Oklahoma State must consider in dealing with Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin. OSU defensive end Ugo Chinasa on Griffin:

He runs like Taylor Martinez but is probably a better thrower.”

The Cowboys get top receiver Justin Blackmon back for the Bears, which will boost the Cowboys No. 2-ranked red zone offense. Jenni Carlson writes about Saturday’s game being key to the Big 12 South Division title.

Predictions: OSU at Kansas State

Coming off their first loss of the season, the Cowboys head to Manhattan, Kan., Saturday to take on Kansas State. The story of the week was Justin Blackmon’s arrest and subsequent suspension, so who will step up for Oklahoma State this week? Brandon Chatmon wrote a story earlier this week about the Wildcats’ 100th-ranked defense and how they’re giving up many “explosive plays.” Will OSU rely on Kendall Hunter without Justin Blackmon? Or will Josh Cooper, Tracy Moore, Michel Harrison step up to replace their star teammate?
