@ Jay The backflip is only a motivator to the degree that the WRITERS make it a motivator. After the Lawrence game, Self didn’t even know there had been a backflip. Craftyman is right, the Hawks are in trouble if they feel they need a motivator. AND if anyone truly feels this served as a motivator and it accounted for even one extra bucket they would not have otherwise made, then hang this loss on Slater for giving them that “edge.”

I really think OSU has the better team at this point, although these two teams are very evenly matched. OSU will get better every game, and KU won’t.

I hope we get to play KU in the Big 12 tourney. Beat them soundly in their house, it took them 2 overtimes, a bad shooting night by Smart, and some questionable fouls to beat us in our house. I think we’ll take it to them in the tourney!

Other than KU’s “game winner”, their only points were from the FT line. Too bad the players didn’t decide this one…

DC, the backflip is pertinent, as it was a motivator. Classless. Wallace, the refs over-officiated both directions. OSU was at the line all night. Please.

Some of the ref’s calls like the one where Smart fouls out and where Cobbins fouled out against Withey were some of the worse calls I’ve ever seen. Thats the problem with basketball sometimes. The game becomes about the refs.
