Little Orange, you must have too much time on your hands to be stressing over this. I don’t blame any of those guys for moving on to HC positions. We knew Holgerson would be leaving after one when he moved into a hotel suite. And george, Holder will quit when he decides it is time to Quit. He is the CEO of a large company, and he has that company on pretty solid ground, whether we like all his decisions or not.

So you guys are saying that Holgerson gets an offer 1 year after he is hired so off he goes. Monken comes in and gets a big fat check does well and he too leaves. Gundy gets his contract re-negotiated for Big Big bucks and it is a long term contract…next year he contemplates leaving..if he was fired would OSU have had to pay off Gundy’s contract?? If he be compensated if he is fired why should OSU not want something in return in his contract if Gundy decided to leave.,.,., and I really do not care about how the turnover rate is at other schools…OSU has turned over the last two offensive coordinators in three years…and others,,.that is too much…for me.

What coaching merry-go-round? OSU’s coaching staff is among the most stable BCS schools. You don’t see where they’re jumping ship for lateral moves or for more money. In nearly every case, when an assistant left, it was for a promotion. This is directly attributable to Coaches Gundy and Holder’s vision for the program and the loyalty the men feel towards Coach Gundy and the school.

* Beckman – promotion.
* Fedora – promotion.
* Holgerson – promotion.
* DeForest – promotion.
* Monken – promotion.
* Meacham – promotion.

Sure, there are a few other counter examples, but still, I think the point is made.

well i dont agree with that. I think the university can pay them what they are worth. If they dont let them go get what they are worth. I hope holder gets fired. I think he is definitly full of himself.

Nice all these Coaches get these big bonus’s but what is OSU getting as far as their commitment to OSU. I mean despite the big bucks Gundy is getting he contemplated leaving so when they get these big contracts there should be a early termination clause that if Gundy leaves on his own volition he have to pay back some of his money and if OSU decides to terminate hin he gets an outgoing cash settlement…. Same for all of the other coaches. It would make all of these coaches think twice about jumping ship so easily. I am tired of the Coach merry go-around. There should be an equal committment by the coach and the university.
