LOL, Ok WEEDEN FAN BOYS, I watched every game this year and you know what the biggest criticism of your boy was? Holding the ball to long. He can’t read defenses, I want you to tell Joe Thomas the best left guard In the NFL, that he sucks , while mind you, he is the starter in the pro bowl. Weeden enjoys the best blind side protection in the game, this would not be a dispute if you knew what you are talking about,LOL.

Running game had more to do with the Coach being an idiot, he always abandoned it early, NOT THE O-LINES FAULT, I’ll give you that though, anyone know who Josh Gordon or Eric Little is? Gordon finished as one of the top rookies in the league as a wide receiver.Yep the Browns have some of the top rookies.

DROPPED BALLS??? LMAO, let’s just go with the balls that were caught ok, stats. Meansjc-One game does not make a season, JunkYardawg, made an intelligent observation, most drops were in the BEGINNING of the season, later on they did Improve A LOT, Did Weeden? NOT one bit, care to look at his stats?I will even go with the second half of the season,when his receivers were NOT dropping the ball. Thought not, one more ignorant comment and I will break out the stats ,lol.

Yards he passed for? I think he threw just about 40 times a game,any QB could do what he did, and his accuracy was AWFUL, look at TD to interception. Thats what matters.

Oh yeah Weeds was so great, Norv and Chud are already looking for another QB, now I’m sure you know more than NFL coaches,right? 1st round draft choice and they don’t want to use him because he was AWFUL, great arm no brain.

For those who don’t remember, Troy Aikman’s rookie season numbers were 0-11 record as a starter, completing 155 of 293 passes for 1,749 yards, 9 TDs, 18 INTs. He turned out ok.

In response to Browns O-Line comments- they were inconsistent at best. The run blocking was pretty shaky most games and T-Rich played with some undisclosed injuries which hurt the run game as well. Not a good mix for a rookie QB. The pass blocking was a little more consistent but they had no answer for good D-ends on blitz packages. Drops were huge, a lot of them were in the end zone and for first downs. The WRs improved late in year and were rookies too. I’m pulling for Brandon, I think with the right NFL coaching he will be a solid pro. If he wins here, the city will give him the keys.

Weeden had a good rookie year as he threw for over 3,300 yards. Sure he had more ints than TD’s and yes he made a lot of mistakes. BUT…HE IS A ROOKIE. for a Rookie QB he did a good job. Of Course! there is room for improvement and he should improve his game with more experience and with some good coaching from Norv. Having another year to work with his receivers will only help.
I am a colt fan, but when I saw him as a backup this year…he was awful.
The Browns will have Weeden as thier starting QB. The early draft picks will be used for shoring up their defence. I look for good things for the Browns this year at least going 8-8.

Will people give it a rest already…Weeden is really only being judged harsh because of his age nothing else. He did break Bernie’s rookie marks, while not having a vetern to lead/teach him. He had to learn a system new to him while breaking in a new rookie right guard and 2 rookie recievers. Lets not forget the pat shurmer mess as a coach. I don’t want to rush to judgement for a new quarterback just yet.

I agree with Big D. Vegas Dawg doesn’t know what he’s talking about. There was an abnormal number of dropped passes, especially all the dropped touchdown passes. Any QB would get flustered when his receivers can’t catch.

Vegas Dawg,that may be the stupidest and most absurd statement of the year thus far.The line was an abomination.the run game nonexistent and nothing even resembling a number 1 receiver.he was forced to throw the ball 40+ times a game to guys who were dropping the ball.every defense knew he had to throw it because they couldn’t run and they got to him often.who,besides Eyton Manning could work with that?
