Gilbert should return as well. I do want to call out Gilbert’s amazing run support against Purdue. Gilbert was laying some serious hurt on the Purdue running backs and short yardage receiver screens.

Little Aggie – Gilbert and Brown were both setup “on the island” with Young’s defensive scheme AND some absolutely horrible early season Safety play. Safety’s released way too many receivers for our Corner’s to cover.

Good luck to the rest. Randle had a good year but not spectacular….especially against Purdue…maybe an unfair assessment but… As for Gilber…a bummer of a year for him. I do not know what happened to him….seems he was playing pretty soft coverage the whole year…was that Young’s direction or what?? But Gilbert needs to put his many tools to work again and get the picks he had as a sophmore.
