Jones is 39-10 as a starter, the most wins for an Oklahoma quarterback. He became the Big 12′s career passing yardage leader and is third in NCAA history with 16,124 passing yards. He threw for 500 yards and three touchdowns Saturday against Oklahoma State, a week after throwing for an OU-record 554 yards and six touchdowns against West Virginia.

The single-game record he broke was his own, not those of former Sooners greats Sam Bradford or Josh Heupel.

Jones has thrown for more than 400 yards 12 times in his career.
