Any news about Daxx Garmon, I believe is his name? Is he redshirted? If necessary, could he be activated in case Lunt isn't ready? WHo else might be able to back up Chelf right now? Does anybody know?

Ted,

Garman is sitting out (and redshirting) this season because of NCAA transfer rules. He cannot play. If Lunt can't go and Chelf starts Saturday (and beyond), Jase Chilcoat will be the backup. He's got quite the story, which we covered last month: http://newsok.com/oklahoma-state-football-jase-chilcoat-answers-a-call-for-emergency-duty-on-the-field/article/3716263

Gina, would you like to revise and amend your piece on oSu's bowl possibilities to include the Fiesta Bowl?

Phil,

No. Because I believe that's about as likely as OSU falling to the Pinstripe or Heart of Dallas Bowl, which were not included in the story. There's a difference between possibility and realistic possibility. OSU would need to finish in the top 14 of the BCS standings to qualify for an at-large bid. That's iffy (unlikely, really) with three losses, even if OSU wins out. So in order for OSU to make the Fiesta Bowl, OSU would need to win out AND finish in the top 14 AND K-State needs to make the national title game (not a guarantee, obviously, even if the Cats finish undefeated). Those are a lot of scenarios that need to collide. Or, K-State would need to implode to give any other team a legitimate shot at the Big 12 title. I wouldn't expect any other BCS bowl to consider a three-loss OSU team, even if it did finish in the top 14. The Sugar Bowl passed on a two-loss K-State last season. Long story short, I don't expect OSU to win out, which essentially puts the BCS completely out out of the equation.
