The nice thing is that OSU has had three tests from similar offenses earlier in the year to prepare for K-State (AZ, ISU, TCU). Improvement from the defensive tackles and maturity from the linebacking corps have been the cornerstones to the defense's resurgence. If the front seven can contain or stop the wildcat running game, I like our chances for the Pokes to pass Saturday's test with flying colors.

Of all the people that we missed due to injuries (or were not full speed) on defense, I think the biggest one has to be Lyndell Johnson. Against TCU there was this draw play (or could have been a simple hand-off can't remember) where the running back veered right and tried to go up the sideline - I am willing to bet that 9 times out of 10 that play would have resulted in an 8-12 yard game in years past, and maybe even a few weeks ago. But Lyndell just appeared out of nowhere and tackled him for a loss. I thought that was quite impressive and something that I hadn't seen our defense do much (if ever). Then again, I moved to the US only in 2001 and have been following the cowboys since then so my memory is relatively short. I certainly am looking forward to this weekend. Go Pokes!!

Little Orange - I think you packed so much in your paragraph than most writers can do in an article. I think you have a future in sports writing. :-)

As noted Klein given time is an accurate passed. Since they run the ball so effectively defenses concentrate on the run thereby giving Klein more time and less defenders so he can then be more effective. OState has a strong Dline so if it can stuff the run without overcomitting to it the Pokes can also play pass coverage making it more difficult for Klein to complete passes. It is very important to both put pressure on Klein and keep him from getting loose while also tackling well in open field keeping yardage after the catch down to a minimum. This will be a great test of the Defense which has improved and playing as billed before the seanon started.
