I am very very proud of Mike Gundy’s staff, team and the whole OSU organization. They show total class in every way shape and form. This is just the beginning as for the program as more and more parents will want their sons to be part of a class act as OSU is. The recruits will come hunting the Cowboys. This year they really turned the corner and it will never be the same. The Horns, Sooners and other big time programs can read the writing on the wall. Thats not to say OSU will go 11-1 every year but the talent will continue to improve and give Gundy and his staff the ability to play with anyone in the country and win their fair share if not most. It’s certainly a great time to be a Cowboy and witness a rise to the top thats been done without cheating by a great classy university showing great leadership. We are fortunate to have great leaders, team players and last but not least a great great gentleman who just happens to be our biggest chearleader and alum …. T. Boone Pickens!!!

When OSU thumps Stanford, and LSU beats Bama convincingly, it will be painfully obvious the system chose the wrong team to play LSU. The Iowa State loss came on the heels of a tragedy…and should have been considered a fluke. I think Coach Gundy said it best after the game when he said “Does everybody want another 9-6 game, or a 36-33 game”?

That said…would the Pokes have played to their potential on a stage as big as they have EVER seen? We will never know because of the coaches decision to rank them significantly lower than they deserved. Sad really. It will go down as one of the poorest results of any BCS poll since the whole thing began. Yes, there have been other instances throughout the BCS run…but those teams proved they didn’t belong by either losing their bowl game or playing sloppy.

I feel that the BCS system needs tweaking to a degree and take out, or modify the weight, of the coaches poll. You know they talk amongst themselves, and this time it was REALLY obvious that there was some SEC home cooking involved.

I do know one thing…if OSU would have had that chance, and came out and played like they played Bedlam…LSU would have had all they wanted, and the SEC stranglehold that is supported by both the media and coaches would have come to an end…and been the biggest event in the storied history of Oklahoma State Cowboy football.

Instead OSU…go out there and show the college football world that YOU are the best team in the nation.

And all these statements come from a die-hard OU fan. You are not only Big 12 Champions, but also the BEST team in America this year…you’ve shown it week end and week out. You have shown the moxie and will yourselves to win when everything else says you are about to lose. THAT is the most sure sign of a WINNER.

If ala beats lsu we definitely have a right to claim a title. I hope the AP would come through for us if that happened. Two teams who have already played from the same conference should never get to play again for the national title in this current system. That just wreaks of corruption.

When Alabama beats LSU and OSU beats Stanford, three teams will end 12-1. So who is #1. I know Les Miles will pick LSU. OSU can claim #1 as well. How can Alabama be #1 without being #1 in their own conference.
