That 4.8 can’t be right. Anybody who’s seen him play knows that. If he makes more than a minor impact next year it will be towards the end of the season. The chasm between HS and D-1 college football is quite a large one to jump right out of the gate.

Alright, the 40 is from a rivals combine or Army combine a few years ago, that was done on lasers, usually high school times on lasers are .2 or .3 slower. Also it was a long time ago. I have seen him run a 4.4 before. Fastest kid I’ve ever played against, ask anyone that’s seen him play basketball or football and you will know how fast he really is.

Not discounting whether he will or will not make an impact, but 4.81 is a poor 40 for a receiver in D-1. Some lineman have 4.8 speed.
