Brandon, did you notice that OU will be ranked No 1 or 2 in preseason again but the pokes which didn't play their best against O.U. and was althlete for athlete with them will have to work their way in again. I don't mind earning respect but this the flaw of any system because "traditional" powers will have the edge in the polls thus the others are already in a hole. I think the pokes have some key subtractions on defence and possibly on offence but we have shown that the reserves aren't that bad either. It is time to give programs like OSU, Boise, TCU, and you could probably add some others in their due. I think preseason polls are the biggest flaw in the system. It should be everyone in conference plays each other to determine the true champions and let the champions play it out.

Brandon you did a good job (not so much really) trying to appease OU fan-readers a few days ago writing as to how Arizona could be dangerous and they were rated high before ending with 4 losses, but anyone who saw them during the season and knew OSU knew better. Me for instance. OSU season ticket holder who saw part of 3 'Zone games on TV this season. They were not good. They beat one decent team all year and how they beat Iowa the 3rd game out I have no idea but they were no good whatsoever. Bob Stoops coulda coached that team and it wouldn't have mattered. Now here is my question: what the hell is the deal with Barry Trammel? Getting on Blackmon for showboating? Are you kidding me? No mention of this anywhere else in the USA. Nothing but praise, except here at OU daily news. You guys ragged on Dez and succeeded in trashing him before the draft and I guess Barry wants Blackmon to know that if he comes back to State he gets more of the same from Gaylord's minions. It's blatant. Just read any other paper in the country and compare it to the DOk. The bias is smelly. I've heard commentators say on various game broadcasts when commenting on DOk articles critical of all things OSU that nobody should be surprised since the DOk is owned by the same family the OU football stadium and journalism school are named for, but the cheap shots at teenage athletes is grossly unethical. This paper wages a crusade to get Bradford to come back for another year at OU when everyone else in the world said he should come out and look how it turned out for him! Blackmon is 19 and has played one yr of college football and this paper will print anything to try and influence him to go pro against his best interests. Here's one person who bets he's smarter than that. You guys really have no shame.
