WEST VIRGINIA HAD A 2 FACE COACH IN {RR} WHO LEFT WVU FOR WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS A BETTER JOB. BILL STEWART WAS HIRED AND GIVIN THE HEAD COACHING JOB. HE IS A TRUE WEST VIRGINIAN WHO LOVES THIS STATE AND THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM. I HOPE HE DID NOT GET A RAW DEAL FROM {WVU]BY HIRING SOMEONE NEW I DO KNOW IF I HAD A SON THAT WANTED TO PLAY COLLAGE FOOTBALL I WOULD WANT BILL STEWART TO BE THE FATHER LIKE FIGURE HE HAS SHOWED OVER THE YEARS. I WISH BILL STEWART ALL THE BEST AND MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY

Larry are u serious…Morgantown won the best small city in the US from the Times…..u idiot……i live in Southern WV Coal Country, the pitts of hell… Motown is like living out of WV,…its great….lived there 5 years to get a bachelors degree…sounds like u need to get one ….lol

hope holgerson wakes up. why not talk to muschamp first? oc at fla or career ender in morgantown? hmmm. why not take $1M from T. for another year on resume with great athletes? hmmm. already posted at another site what i think of morgantown–yuck–have you actually been there dana? i have lived all across U.S. had homes in Las Vegas, Louisville, Memphis, S. Indiana, OKC, stillwater. used to drive through morgantown when worked for company with stores in Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati, Phily, D.C., N.J., Dallas. your career will die in the pitts of the earth

No reason to fear the loss of Holgorsen. We’ll just plug in the next guy and continue to put up big numbers on offense. The key is retaining Weeden and Blackmon. We already lose Hunter to graduation. Losing the other two of the triplets 2010 will not be good going into next year. Although, I think we have some talent waiting behind Weeden, so we’d have some growing pains initially. I think Chelf and Deaton could be an interesting battle in the Spring. Don’t expect Walsh to battle for a starting job as a true freshman. Too much adjusting to do to be ready for D-I action. But after next year, it’ll be a major battle for starting qb. Lots of talent there.

“If I enjoyed this post”? Jeez. Is J. Helsley’s brain much like a poached egg? Ans: probably softer and less useful. Here’s the deal. It doesn’t matter a whole lot who coordinates the O at OSt and calls the plays. Gundy did it and can do it again and so can any number of guys like Hole-Gore-someone or the guy before him or any of about three dozen of the young spread go-fast-as-heck offense devotees going around college FB. Scoring points hasn’t been the problem for a long time. The question is can Bill Young keep getting better defensive lineman, linebackers and pass-rushers and can he coach-em up. Other than that I think we may actually be better off getting a play caller who has a clue about how to manage the clock with a lead instead of eternally risking 3 and outs to the point that no lead is safe.

John…not to pry, but there are several things I’d like to know:

1 At any point in Holgorsen’s whirlwind week-end between Pitt and West Virginia–did Boone pull out his cash briefcase and offer Hologorsen a million to stay? That’s one aspect of this story I haven’t read anything about. Anotherwords–how proactive did Boone become in this ‘keep Holgorsen’ process?

2 I noticed you left Joe DeForest off the list of O State coaches when evaluating the remaining O State staff. Some–I won’t say who– have indicated there is a tight knit triangle, or web if will, between Oliver Luck, Dana Holgorsen and Joe DeForest. Is this just internet talk or is there some basis to the Luck-Holgorsen-DeForest Trianagle?
