When OsU get’s a defense that is equal to their offense then I will say they are there…their emphasis seems always about their offense..that they are Tail Back U..etc.. but it’s defense that wins championships…

I agree with you on the depth as of right now, but the gap between OU and Texas versus OSU has closed significantly, and the facilities are the primary reason. Also, OSU is breaking ground on a state-of-the-art indoor practice facility this spring. The talent gap will continue to close. I know you do not want to hear that, but that is the case. Your point that kids do not care about facilities is false. That is a major factor. Just ask Barry Switzer.

Ok, I must comment on this thread. I’m first and foremost on OU fan but I must commend OSU for playing a good game and doing whatever it took and whatever OU gave them to keep the game close. I read everything prior to the game and the media really blew everything out of proportion from the road problems of OU and did not emphasize enough the struggles OSU had with upper tier teams this season. I never lost site of the fact that just a few weeks ago OU was the BCS #1 team and they still had those same players playing. I really think OSU was too hyped up at the beginning and that usually causes breakdowns early and that’s what I saw from OSU in the early stages of that game. OU has been in the big games and know how to control those emotions and turn them into plays not just wasting them on yelling and screaming and jumping around. I’m not being disrespectful about this but OU has always has the ability to get the higher skilled athletes across the board than OSU has. I’m not saying that OSU can’t and doesn’t get these athletes but as a whole, OU gets more quality athletes than does OSU and that affects your depth year in and year out. When OU loses quality athletes like they did from last years team, they just plug in new ones and don’t miss a beat. That fact is what will always separate the two schools, again no disrespect. No amount of money you throw at the program will change that overall fact. I mean the stadium is fantastic and facilities are overall wonderful but that isn’t what players come for, they come to be in contention for conference and national championships.

Also, Oklahoma University will not be making medals with the score O.U.47,O.S.U.41. The O.U. team will be getting prepared for their next game.

Yeah the Cowboys will possibly be better next year, but so will the Sooners,Long horns and aggies. This was their best and maybe last chance at winning the Big 12. Back to OSU football as usual.
