Justin Blackmon didn't drop a pass against OU that I can remember, and just because he dropped two passes in the last few weeks that stood out because they would have been touchdowns doesn't make him inconsistent. Dez dropped passes, Adarius dropped passes, RaShaun and DeJuan dropped passes, and they were all pretty good. And if you check the NFL, even some of the greats struggled with dropped passes from time to time...your point is quite unfounded.

Dropped passes. Great receivers do not drop passes. Yes he gets his yards but dropped passes. Inconsistent at catching the ball not getting his yards. He is consistent at getting his yards but not consistent at catching the ball. Think of how many more yards and touchdowns he would have if he didnt drop so many balls.
Do not want to be like Roy Williams when he came out of Texas, had too many dropped passes and people got on his case about being overpaid. I'm not comparing them. Just showing how bad dropped passes can make a receiver look bad in the NFL. But another year in school would help him. Dez Bryant rarely dropped a pass at osu and it is paying off for him in NFL.

Brandon, please tell me you did not just use the word 'inconsistent' to describe a player who has AT LEAST 125 yards and a TD in 10 STRAIGHT games.

Let me throw that stat out there one more time:

10 STRAIGHT games with AT LEAST 125 yards and a TD. Blackmon possesses all kinds of good qualities and at the top of the list is CONSISTENCY.

It's good to hear Blackmon getting recognition but I think he's too inconsistent. He has dropped nearly two or three passes per game the past three or four weeks. He's consistent at getting his yards but too many dropped passes.
