Paul – Sorry, but our official colors are orange and BLACK. White is an accent color, and gray was recently added.

Check out the soccer, baseball, basketball, and golf teams -you will find they all have predominately black unis they wear from time to time.

I’d also like to see what some Nike combat unis would look like for OSU. A black helmet may be cool too, with flat black paint.

Its really simple. Fans wear orange no matter what the team wears. The black uniforms are sweet – especially if they are the ones like this years new replica jersey with orange piping instead of white piping like those they wore against cu last year. I think black once a season is ideal. Maybe two times if the players want to. Fans should only do a blackout if it is pushed by the athletic dept and advertised heavily. Otherwise stick with our trademark sea of orange, again, no matter what the team wears. This was never that hard when the bball team wore black a lot, not sure why it is so confusing now for fball.

Official OSU colors are orange, black, silver and white. Look it up if you need to.

OSU colors are orange and black. My Dad graduated from OSU and taught there for several years. We had season tickets since 1978 and I have since graduated from there. I don’t know where you get that we are orange and white. The bright orange is a fairly new occurance as we used to be more of a burnt orange. I love it when we go to all black, but do prefer the orange the majority of the time.

The school colors are orange and white. Black is an accent color. It might be confrontational if the crowd changes the cheer to BLACK/POWER. If you have a black out the stadium will look like a black sweater with lint with the few who didn’t wear black. Let’s face it a sea of orange is impressive. So just keep the black and use it once ever couple of years as a surprise. A visiting team expecting a team in orange would be distracted when suddenly they see a black uniform.
