Zac’s Ready… Now

The long, tedious rite of August has reached its end. Which means only one thing: Game week.
And Saturday can’t get here soon enough for Cowboys quarterback Zac Robinson.
“I’m ready to kick this off right now,” Robinson told us Monday. “It’s been a long time. I know guys are excited. If we could play tomorrow, I’d be all about it.”
One reporter asked Robinson if that made this a long week. To the contrary, the QB said, the promise of Saturday makes this a welcome week.
“I wouldn’t say a long week,” Robinson said, “but now that it’s Monday and getting to a game routine, it’s going to be fun knowing that we’re that much closer to playing a game. I’m hoping it goes back fast and Saturday is here before we know it.”
Robinson, who missed several workouts to a sore leg two weeks ago, said he’s ready to go full speed.
“Last week was really the first week that I cut it loose on some runs,” Robinson said. “I kind of opened it up a little bit and I’ll continue to do so more this week. I feel fine running and obviously, it’s a whole lot different for a quarterback who hasn’t been hit since last season. Once that first hit comes, I’ll be ready to go.”
Robinson seems relaxed, confident and comfortable leading the Cowboys ahead into arguably the most meaningful season opener in school history.
That complete poise is one of the things that makes him so good. Robinson never panics, never flinches and never lets you see him sweat, if he does at all.
And he does it humbly, which makes it even more appealing.

The Dawgs will be there saturday in a big way, count them out if you have the guts they like it that way!
To All Dog Fans, I don’t think the Cowboy players are taking the Georgia Bulldogs half so lightly as Georgia is the Boys. From all the comments I have heard the Cowboys have shown great respect for the Georgia team and players. Quite the contrary for the Georgia fans however. The Georgia Fans all seem to believe that this is the same Cowboy team and same QB that played in Athens two years ago and expect the same dominating performance from the Dawgs against what they obviously consider an “over-hyped” OSU team and a second rate QB. Well two years have passed and this is a better team and a much better QB. Let’s see what happens Saturday and then talk. Go Pokes! Put a leash on UGA and a muzzle on the UGA fans!
Believe me UGA is taking this game seriously. They will be more motivated than they have been in years. SEC pride is huge at UGA. We know this is not the same team we saw last time. That’s a simply not the case. Georgia does not play thinking about their opponent and what their opponent thinks but rather what they need to do to win.
After playing LSU Florida Tennessee & Alabama, the Dogs feel
OSU doesn’t really match up well physically with them and confident they will eventually overpower the Cowboys. Then we will go home to Athens and you guys will make excuses. Oh we didn’t play well. Probably because someone had something to do with that.

I can’t wait for Zac to meet Rennie Curran. It’s going to hurt.
