Cowgirls and Buffaloes
Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team (16-3 overall, 4-2 Big 12) will be in search of its third conference road win of the season on Saturday when it travels to Boulder, Colo. to take on the Colorado Buffaloes (13-7, 2-5) at 7 p.m. (CST). The No. 21/18 Cowgirls are coming off their first home loss of the season, a 68-63 setback to Kansas State on Sunday, while the Buffs will be looking to rebound from their 65-45 loss at Iowa State on Wednesday.

Game 411
The contest will be televised by FSN Rocky Mountain. FSN Southwest announced this week it will carry the game live in Oklahoma as well. The Cowgirls have won eight of their last nine games against Big 12 North opponents after last Sunday’s loss to Kansas State.
About The Buffaloes
Colorado enters this weekend’s matchup looking to end a two-game slide of its own after suffering road losses at Texas Tech and Iowa State. Saturday’s contest will be CU’s first at home since its Jan. 22 win over Kansas. Overall, the Buffaloes are 9-3 at home this season and 1-2 against Big 12 opponents in Boulder. CU has one of the league’s top players in Jackie McFarland (18.8 ppg), who enters play second in the Big 12 in scoring. The Buffs also have one of the top newcomers in the Big 12 in Brittany Spears, who leads the league’s freshmen wither her 13.3 points and 7.1 boards per game.
The Series
Colorado holds a 26-21 advantage overall in the series and has won 12 of the 20 meetings in Boulder. However, the Cowgirls have won two of the last three meetings after last year’s 61-58 victory in Stillwater. CU has won the last three in Boulder with OSU last winning a road game in the series on Jan. 29, 2000.

What 2 Watch 4
Saturday’s contest will pit the Big 12’s top two scorers against each other in OSU’s Andrea Riley (22.8 ppg) and CU’s Jackie McFarland (18.8 ppg) … Riley enters the contest with 818 career points, just five shy of moving into a tie with Jodi Fisher for 20th place on the school’s all-time scoring list.
