Erin Woods has done a really great job with a really hard task, and I wanted to add this personal note about the script. It is not usual for a review to legitimately critique a script; what we evaluate for the public is a particular performance of a particular production. In this special case, where the script is a world premiere and the author is active in the producing theatre, I took the liberty of commenting on the script as well. As a writer myself, I am very aware of the huge difficulties that Erin faced, and I cannot imagine a better person to tackle Fielding.

After seeing this production last Saturday night, I completely agree with this review. If one goes with the understanding that the topics and actions may be sexually alarming and shocking, but hilariously funny, you will love it, as I did! The actors do a phenomenal job with this production, as does the entire cast and their director. The Pollard continues to put on high-quality productions.

Its like you learn my thoughts! You appear to understand a lot
about this, like you wrote the e book in it or something.
I think that you simply could do with some p.c. to force the
message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog.
A fantastic read. I'll definitely be back.

The fact is still correct, it is just no longer relevant. However, while the current trend seems to be more non specific when doing trial runs, the image of the Broadway show is cemented (perhaps from the movie, All About Eve?). So, even though it dates me, I felt that the illustration would be more universally understood, especially as I have many readers of my own generation. I don't mind being dated, I never did...even when I was younger.
