Good morning! I am using both 'Some Danger Involved' and 'The Limehouse Text' by Will Thomas in my 11th + 12th grade English College Prep classes this year. Last year, I was looking for a work of literary merit that would engage students and found it on my own bookshelf! I loved the first book and they did too. I plan to expand to 'The Limehouse Text' this year and I need material. I am scouring the net for lesson plan ideas and would even love to talk to Mr. Thomas and get his thoughts on using his books as classroom novels. Any ideas on how to do that? Or any ideas on projects? I was thinking about having them create their own "who done its" using Barker & Llewelyn - maybe as a group project...do research and create their own stories - or take a personal aspect or tangent and write arguments in favor of a position one of the characters would take on a subject. Anyway, floating ideas in my head right now...but I thought as a librarian in Tulsa esp., you might have some ideas. Thanks!
