What an absolutely fantastic evening – and not just because NIGHT FIRES won the Best Young Adult Book Award, either! It was great, absolutely great, to celebrate Oklahoma. My wife, Gwen, and I toured the entire Oklahoma Heritage Museum before the awards dinner and ceremony, and we were moved by the stories and the achievements of so many of our great citizens. Why would anyone want to live anywhere else but Oklahoma?

Thanks for the comment, Mr Stanley, as a librarian I know children have been enjoying your different series of children/YA books for years, they are delightful. I’m glad you took the honors saturday evening and it’s authors like you that make OKlahoma a good place to call home.

Those at our table enjoyed the night and were surprised and thrilled when we heard Confessions of a Former Rock Queen by Kirk Bjornsgaard won.

I’m so glad Kirk choose our publishing firm to do his book.
