Light of my life. Fire of my loins. My sin. My soul.” I still remember those opening lines. Lolita is one of my favorite books because of Nobokov’s masterful way with the English language. I didn’t see it listed on the “banned in the 90s” list, but I know it has stoked many a censor’s dreams. Just wanted to add that title to possible “bad for you” books for consideration.
