I didn't read it for the first time until a couple of years ago, and have re-read it getting ready for the big show. Since it takes place in an alternate 1985, it doesn't seem as dated as you might think. I'm going to miss the big opening this weekend, because I have family coming in, but I'm definitely hitting the multi-plex *next* weekend. Definitely read it, Kitty. I didn’t read it for the first time until a couple of years ago, and have re-read it getting ready for the big show. Since it takes place in an alternate 1985, it doesn’t seem as dated as you might think.
