CJ Cherryh just cracks me up talking about her ice skating routine and how she avoids the rink when the “hoards” of children are out. When she was in Oklahoma to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oklahoma Book Awards, I had a chat with her mother. When we started talking about CJ’s new love of ice skating, her mom said, “She’s gonna fall down and break her neck!” (Mom’s are the same the world over, thank god.)

And, yes, congratulations Bill on your recent nuptials. Here’s to years of happiness!
