Well that was depressing.

Well, you sure are one sentimental fellow.

Sorry Mom. Sorry Duck. Posted it after visiting with a couple of friends who lost their jobs yesterday. I’ll try to post something a bit more upbeat in a few minutes.

Right on the mark, I’d say, Steve. Bravo!

Nothing wrong with it (as long as there is a reason for the depression & it looks like there was). have survived a few layoffs myself and the uncertainty of “am I next” is never fun…and then when it happens to you… the old joke:

Q. What is the difference between a recession and a depression?
A. A recession is when a friend loses their job, a depression is when you lose yours.

Are you sure that’s a joke?

What is it they say about jokes? “Its funny because its true” As someone who has experienced both ends of it, i wish them luck in finding employment quickly. I know we are relatively well off here with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country but even at that, with 20 years of experience (10 with my last company) I was unemployed for 4 months and there were weeks it was a struggle to come up with the 2 contact minimum to maintain unemployment. I feel their pain.

i love paul simon with a combover. it makes a nice, sleek helmet-like look to counter the poofiness on the sides.
