As posted on Tom Maxedon's (Danny's father's) Facebook:

Wow! A tragic anomaly, really? Are the police chief, DA, and other top public officials up for election? "Tragic anomaly" is like saying “cautious optimism” what does that really mean … political verbal judo. Law Enforcement got the first part right “Tragic” but failed miserably with the second part, “anomaly.” Why I say this, you may ask? What happened to Danny on 27 Nov 2011, according to Ms. Keeping’s research was a common occurrence in that part of down; just short of death ... hello, it was only a matter of time. The police force should have initiated “Community Oriented Policing (COP)” tactics … otherwise known as “selective enforcement” in that area. You know park the car, walk and talk to the community … break that barrier (the car) between you and public at large. Personally, this is egg on the face of that entire community if they can’t catch the culprits that performed this heinous crime! When I mean community I mean all, police force, entertainment district business owners and their patrons. You just don’t beat someone unconscious in front of a night club just after closing and not see or hear anything. You can’t tell me no one know anything about the culprits who did this to Danny … I tell you money talks and if we start a Hmmm let’s call it a “Danny’s First Act – Bounty”, people will start remembering when the bounty coffer gets high enough. Just venting a bit and thinking out loud … and a good night to all of Danny’s friends; God bless Tom, Chol Sun, Chad, and Laura. Your Dear Friend Jerry.

PS: Ms. Keeping, you are “on point” you’ve let the facts speak for themselves; yea you can spin a statistic anyway you want but I also am familiar with crime trend analysis and your article brought those trends out (fact). Thank you for your professional article; hopefully, you’ve energized the Bricktown community to step up, identify the culprits that beat Danny; ultimately making the area a safer place.
