You have got to be kidding me.
The rest of the architecture of DT OKC is fine. Yeah, it looks dwarfed by the giant tower and I agree it looks out of balance but not because the other buildings are “outdated and stale”. Some of the buildings are beautifully designed and if anything their ornate details stand out more against the stark lines of Devon. I think its a good compliment. I do think the height and profile view of DT OKC needs serious help though. Chesapeake has chosen to create a small city instead of building up. Marriot? OneOK? Dell? Anybody?

Devon Tower may stand out at the moment but OKC is a work in progress. We have come quite far but a few more towers are in the near future. Let’s talk in 2015.
An obvious improvement, but, with the addition of the iconic Devon tower, the DT skylilne is really out of balance visually against the backdrop of the otherwise outdated and stale architecture of the rest of DT OKC
