Come on guys, I see no reason to pile onto Steve here, whom does NOT cover energy for the Dark Tower. This is his employer for almost two decades I think. If you guys worked there, and had for two decades, and had a family relying on you, you all would probably happily fight for some good grace as well.

I’m surprised this post even got any comments. But I do think that Oklahoman editors should be more critical and give their journalists more leeway to actually do journalism, especially now that ownership is Denver-based and not itself engaged in local power schemes.

That said, I have noticed a marked change in tone on the Editorial page. Similar viewpoint but more rational and less rabid

i’ve subscribed for years, but i can’t help notice that the paper has not only gotten smaller, it’s gotten thinner, too. i think craigslist has just about completely killed the classifieds.

I’m going to take a wait and see approach, but I quit giving the paper the benefit of the doubt years ago. They no longer get any of my money, and that won’t be changing without an improvement to their investigative reporting and a change in the way they slant their placing and writing of headlines and stories.

With the recent change of ownership, I’m not optimistic about the paper’s quality improving any time soon. It really is terrible currently.

Wow, that’s some in depth reporting there Steve. Basically a blog that’s parrots what chk says instead of asking them the tough question the article raises. This team is off to a fine start as stenographers.
Also no mention of Adam wilmoth’s previous employ? Hmmmm
