Yep, my mom got an iPad and she’s reading NewsOk and the blog and all the comments (until recently she was only reading the newspaper). So when you disagree with me, say something like “I beg to differ,” or “Steve, I know it’s not your fault, you’ve been victimized by someone who gave you bad information,” or “there is a slight deviation in this latest post from your strong continuous track record of journalistic excellence” …

The paper took a shot at humor with Argus Hamilton back in the 1990s. Not enough people were laughing so they decided instead to rely solely on Marmaduke to ensure the readers are kept in a mildly good mood.
