I ride 100+ miles per week and - generally speaking - I don't have a problem with the systems already in place. The multi-use paths at Hefner & Overholser are good, but frequently congested with walkers, runners & dogs, therefore dangerous to cyclists, so we use roads in the interest of everyone's safety. The bikes lanes in town are a welcome addition, but many are frequently blocked as in the video. Others - like Shartel from 36th to 50th - have so many stop signs that we ride on Western instead. State law requires us to stay as far right as is safely practical, but we move move left towards traffic in order to avoid holes, debris, glass and other obstacles. What we have now isn't perfect, but it works.

Hilarious. I agree with an ordinance prohibiting blocking the lanes if in the same bill it is mandated that if a bike lane is available and the rider chooses not to use it they LOOSE right of way and they have no more protection than a motor vehicle. Cannot have one without the other!!!
