Central Park: It’s all in the Netting?
Dennis Wells shared this video as an idea for doing something special with the Core to Shore Park. One must wonder – can such creativity and cutting edge ideas occur if the deadline for completion, as pushed by Mayor Mick Cornett, is set for 2014?

Fascinating.
1st two thoughts, will it hold up in Oklahoma tornado force winds? Hurricane strength, so should work.
2nd thought, what about birds getting tangled up in it? Don’t know. Worth consideration though
How perfect would it be if the sculpture was a tornado, Larry? Moving in the wind… would be pretty cool.
SEND TO CITY HALL NOW. And Matt, brilliant idea. I almost feel like that’s what her solution might be if we challenged her to create a sculpture for the Central Park.
I think that a storm cloud might be amazing too. The concepts are endless. Fantastic stuff and thanks for sharing Steve.
The work of Ned Kahn would be great for OKC as well. Click on the videos. He’s done private commissions for Chevron/Texaco, perhaps a local energy company might pony up some $$$?
I think this artwork is brilliant. Another artist to consider is Ned Kahn, who’s work is incredible…
He’s done a lot of private commissions for petroleum/energy companies. It might be someting one of our local companies would be interested in.

… That is amazing…
So, how do we get this video to City Hall?
