Burlesque in Bricktown?
I’m hearing it may be coming soon… Question I’m hearing is if this is true, will this be a real artistic Burlesque endeavor, or just an effort to sneak in a strip club?

When the Mayor put the brakes on the Lingerie Football League? With Bricktown being “family friendly” it would seem unlikely but I would still like to know what is family friendly about a collection of adult only bars and clubs. LOL
I’m ecstatic about something with so much history and culture to finally arrive in Bricktown. Congratulations to the innovators of this new business coming to Bricktown. We will now have a destination for people of all ages and not just the bar & club scene geared for 21-28 year olds. Very excited to see the first show…
Brett, it’s looking like this club will be operated by the proprietors of RokBar (who also previously operated Pure)
Is that a definite? I don’t know them personally but I do know they have owned and operated several clubs in Bricktown for years. Hopefully everything I’ve been hearing about this will be true. Bringing actual shows and acts to the downtown area will be a great place for a date night or just simply for something different and new to Oklahoma.
Brett- As a burlesque dancer myself, I HIGHLY doubt this is going to actually be burlesque. It’s more than likely going to be a bunch of slutty girls with low self esteem pretending to be The Pussy Cat Dolls. We were asked to perform at RokBar once, but when we told them we get down to panties and pasties and we have a variety of styles and body types, they weren’t interested anyone. If the show is true burlesque I would find it quite entertaining and welcome its arrival. If they are just trying to sneak in a peep show then they don’t need to even exit the highway just keep driving on.
