Gotta Love Elliott Nelson

The creative vision behind McNellie’s has opened a cool retro bowling alley and bar in downtown Tulsa. In this story in The Tulsa World, you can read about what he’s up to – and how he might open a similar operation in MidTown. Read here.

LOVE IT!

But, imagine if you went to a downtown restaurant a few times on the weekends, but you could never get in because the whole restuarant was reserved. This is what Red Pin is like. So another bowling alley, like this one, in Midtown would be awesome!! So, note to Midtown….always leave some lanes for walk-ins!

Did the bowling lanes come from the now closed Route 66 lanes on 39th street? If so, that is cool.

Elliot Nelson is awesome. Everything he touches turns to gold. I love all his establishments and it would be dream if he’d put some more stuff in OKC…

Regarding the lanes: That would be awesome if so. But, 66 Bowl was synthetic for many years, and I’m not sure if the synthetic layer was simply laid over the old lanes or if the old lanes were ripped up first.
