Another Great Christmas Card from Rand Elliott

OK, I confess. I’ve been selfish. For five years now I’ve been receiving great Christmas cards from Rand Elliott and not sharing them with you. No offense to any of my friends, but the cards from Rand are pretty much my favorites.

In early years Rand simply sent out cards showing different photos of his his offices in the historic Heierding Building. But then Rand began to discover some stunning views of his building, the Buick Building, and before long, photos in general of his beloved Automobile Alley neighborhood (Rand and his firm Elliott + Associates Architects have been longtime supporters of the area, often donating their time, talent and effort to its revival).

This one is truly wonderful:

Cars and old buildings. Yup, that’s Rand.. lol

Good Design will always stand the test of time and this picture is proof, sexy car, elegant setting, TIMELESS!

Best Christmas card yet! Always great to see it show up in the mail.

Point of reference: the Brittain Brothers building in the background is now the ADT office on the NE corner of Broadway and 7th.

The building from within which this photo was taken is currently available for lease or purchase, if I’m not mistaken. Close to 20 years ago (before the bombing) there was an Altamere in that building, owned by Wanda Jackson’s son Greg. More often than not if you went into that store, Miss Wanda was holding it down behind the sales counter.

And yeah, Rand’s Christmas cards rule.

As we are long time members of the Oklahoma City Corvette Club, this card is a MUST have at our house. How do I get one?

Gina, the good folks at the Oklahoma Historical Society would love to sell you a copy of this photo (the prices are very reasonable, and you’re supporting the museum).
Go to http://www.okhistory.org/research/ for more info.

Steve,
you can give Gina my e-mail address and I will be happy to send her the Christmas card.
