What I find interesting is the bottom picture is actually more attractive then the top one – what a dog of a building. Want to talk about disposable architecture? I give you exhibit A above.
I’m actually really scared to know what this area is going to look like when they’re finished. It’s going to be a barren wasteland in the middle of an urban forest. It had promise, and now it’s nothing but grass and trees.
Is the top pic a construction photo or did the building currently being demolished originally have horizontal awnings and a sidewalk canopy?
That brise soleil at the roofline is a great detail.

Not sad to see this building go
