Oklahoma City Rising

So here’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask: with so much interest in the construction of Devon tower, how many of you are aware of the OKC Skyline Cam that went live in March? How many of you view the live video streaming? For those who don’t, why?

Keep in mind that due to the various arrangements made to establish the live video feed, it is limited to NewsOK and Oklahoman subscribers (the requirement has nothing to do with circulation).

I don’t watch it because I don’t subscribe to the Oklahoman.

Same here.

I watch it once or twice a week… I wish it were higher resolution.

(Shame on all non-subscribers!)

For most, you answered your own question in your post. It costs to view the camera.

I’m glad we’ve got the Skyline Cam available. The main times I’ve used it have been when the Construction Cam isn’t working, or when I know that it’s going to zoom in on the work. For regular viewing, though, it’s difficult to tell much that’s going on at the Devon site when viewing the Skyline Cam. I wish it were zoomed in on the tower work more often. That may just be my preference, though. Thanks again for helping set this up–it’s nice to have this perspective on the work.

Most people under 30 and maybe 40 do not subscribe to a newspaper, and if they did, it would be the Times which doesn’t archive articles at all unlike the Oklahoman which is perfectly accessible online.

We’re all ponying up the page clicks though.

I would love to see it! But I don’t live in Oklahoma City anymore (so I don’t subscribe to The Oklahoman). It’s an unfortunate limit.

I do look at the cam feed occasionally. However,it seems like about half the time when I try to view it, it is offline.

I don’t watch the NewsOK one, it’s zoomed out to much and too much of a hassle to login, even though I’m a subscriber. I prefer the OKCTalk one as it’s easier to access and zoomed in more.

I just drive by it 2 or 3 times a week. Pretty exciting…

after reading this i tried to use it. i’m an oklahoman subscriber. couldn’t figure it out, gave up after wasting about 10 minutes of my time.
