Project 180 Update

Some incredible coordination is being reported by Project 180 Engineer Laura Story in regards to the stretch of Reno recently torn up between Ford Center and the Cox Convention Center. She praised the contractors and utility companies for doing such a great job that she expects the job to be done by October 6 – news that I’m sure will be celebrated by NBA Thunder fans later that month.

Steve, can you get a rendering of this section of Reno and what it should look like? I was unable to get one from Laura 2 weeks ago as they didn’t have them done yet, but you figure if they are working on it, they surely have it done by now. How else would they know what it’s going to look like.

Andrea French told me they are still finalizing the lighting plans and would have renderings available when those decisions have been made. I sure would like to see them. Hopefully they’ve got it worked out by now if they’re planning to be finished by Oct. 6.

Kris and Steven,

We are looking into the possibility of having a rendering completed for Reno (between the Ford & Cox Center). However, these renderings do not come without a hefty price tag and we certainly cannot afford to do one for every piece of the streetscape.

The good thing is that it’s just about September so pretty soon everyone will be able to see more than just a rendering as they venture to the Ford? Center and cheer on the Thunder :-)
