Vienna Waits For You

You got your passion you got your pride
But don’t you know only fools are satisfied?
Dream on, but don’t imagine they’ll all come true
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you

Slow down you crazy child
Take the phone off the hook
And disappeaar for a while
It’s alright you can afford to lose a day or two
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you.

For the first time in a very, very long time, I’m leaving the “grid” all together for two weeks. That means no columns, no working on stories on my time off, no blogging, no work-related social media. Thanks to all of you who have been not just great readers, but also great participants in this blog, and in the discussion of downtown and its future. I’ll be back…

Steve – enjoy your holiday. I can only hope you spend some of that downtime codifying the privileged. Don’t lie, we all know that’s what you do. (I kid) But seriously, everyone needs to unplug at times. Billy Joel is always a good call.

they say that timing is everything…

You will be missed, good friend. Enjoy Vienna and come back refreshed. I am tempted to insert some lyrics from Billy Joel’s Pressure cause it’s a cool Billy Joel tune, too, but, truth is, when reading them they do not match who it is that you are. But, Piano Man comes a little closer:

Sing us a song, you’re the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we’re all in the mood for a melody
And you’ve got us all feelin’ all right

See you soon, Piano Man.

Ever thought of guest bloggers while you are out? Would allow for frequent blog posting (even can post them in advance with a timer. I know us readers would appreciate reading while you’re out, and it’d allow you more time to relax with your family on a regular basis. Maybe one guest blog a week? A win-win for everyone.

Tic Toc Steve. OKC waits for you. You are well missed here.
