Try the Ranch Steakhouse, it compares favorably, next time you are thinking ND foods email me. I can walk there.

Iguana Grill for Mexican food? You must be joking, right?

I wonder if I could make a run at best social media “fanatic” lol.

Captcha: the gyrating

Terry, to each his own. I’m not enamored with Ted’s anymore, nor am I thrilled with any of the chains. It’s the food, it’s the location, it’s the selection. A razor-thin close second would 1492 New World Cuisine

If Plaza District won giving Sally Kern nightmares, I think we’d be slightly flattered!

I’m going to throw out a few more, in my unbiased opinion:

Best Tattoo Shop: No Regrets Tattoo
Best Salon: Velvet Monkey
Best Theatre: Lyric Theatre
Best cup of coffee: Free Coffee Monday/Cafe Evoke
Best Vintage/Thrift: Bad Granny’s Bazaar
Healthy Food Options: Coffy’s Cafe
Also keep in mind our retailers: Collected Thread, DNA Galleries, JuJu Gallery and Shop Good!

Best thing to give Sally Kern nightmares: Sunday Brunch at The Boom

1492 is by far my favorite these days. I’ve been holding off on Red Prime, but since you recommend it, I think the wife and I will lay down some moolah and go try it out.

Of all my above picks, Red Prime is the one I’m most serious about. Seriously – when my wife and I went there for our anniversary, it was the best meal in our lives – for both of us. Just incredible all around, and if you do the prix special, it’s really not that bad a price for a special evening out.

Casa Perico. 1492 and Iguana are nice places but seriously….go to a place that employs people that speak the language at least. Maybe have a few crumbs on the floor, nothing wrong with stepping a little out of a comfort zone on this one.

….otherwise, I thought it was a great commercial steve.

Coffee Slingers (really/truly the best coffee, possibly in the state)

However, Dave at Beatnix grinds Elemental which is probably the best local roastery.

Atmosphere is always in the eye of the beholder if that is a factoring into people’s voting. But on purity, Coffee Slingers.

It is awesome that we now have “real” coffee shops and “mom and pops” selling locally roasted brews. Kudos to OKC.

Big Truck is good, but Taqueria Los Comales in Stockyards is the bombdiggity. I suggest the pork in red chile in a gordita with all the fixins. You won’t be disappointed.

Casa Perico? Seriously? Sorry but that place is extremely subpar. Even Chelino’s is better.

and Earl’s for best BBQ, no way. Jeffrey if you haven’t been to Red Prime you’re only punishing yourself. Truly the best restaurant in this city.

I’d also change best new concept/restaurant to Panchinko Parlor, brilliant concept and food. So is Table One but you sure won’t find Table One on any ballot or advertisement.

Panchinko Parlor is really good, totally agree.

The best restaurant in OKC (for the price) is Cocina Guatelinda on NW 16th and Drexel. Get the special, doesn’t matter what day.

Panchinko Parlor is the WORST sushi I have ever had. It was explained to me as Sushi for non sushi eaters.

Haven’t had the sushi, thanks for the tip.
