Because it was the k-state fans hitting me up for info! Let’s get the KU, NIU and BYU folks represented as well!
It’s funny because all of the guys on KCRag.com that always come to OKC when K-State or KU are playing here always complain about OKC on that site. Many of them talk about the bad experiences they’ve had in Bricktown on a Thursday night, etc..
Perhaps we need way finding in downtown JUST for KU/K-State fans. Or perhaps OKC really isn’t as great as we think it is when people from KC visit. And I’m serious, if you all haven’t spent some time in KC lately, you should..it’s a model urban city in my opinion. P+L aside..
I’d be curious to hear how KC is a model urban city aside from P+L. I’m speaking from ignorance and wanting to know more. I’ve been to Kansas City, but don’t remember too much urbanity.
It is probably about 20 years ahead of OKC, as far as urban density is concerned. KC’s downtown is very cool and seems much bigger than it actually is. Wish it was closer than Dallas.
Kansas City metro is almost twice that of OKC. It’s had at least two Professional Teams since the 60′s and at for a time 3 with the Kansas City Kings (NBA). It’s at the least 20 years ahead but has a much larger population and longer history, it was already an established thriving city when OKC was still prairieland . . . It also has its own share of problems. KC Public Schools just voted last week to shutter about half of its schools and lay off 40% of its teachers.
