And I am incredibly glad that you’re being persistent on the LED lights, and that we’re going with the horizontal lights instead. The horizontal lights was the main preference I had, I could honestly care less about LED even though my projects in school tend to focus on sustainable, LEED-certified methods.

LED is a good alternative, but unfortunately for the time being, it’s just an alternative. My opinion on the matter is that the technology is still evolving and as long as OKC’s reason for putting off the LED is to wait for the newer technology, that’s fine. Bear in mind though that we are talking about streetlights that, many of which, won’t even be turned on for the first time until 2012.
