I think it’s an original. Foster was the writer of “Oh Susanah” and “Camptown Ladies” (thus the chorus) and apparently died destitute and fairly miserable.
Thus the ghost….

The cartoon portion definitely looked vintage…if it was new, they did an excellent job recreating the style of the era (Betty Boop?)

oh, wow. i just blogged about the squirrel nut zippers getting back together. they did a concert on halloween in new orleans. did you know they got back together when you posted this!?
