The New Devon Tower Gets a Place Marker on Google
That means it’s got to be a done deal, right? Of course Google maps is still missing several new hotels, housing developments, two garages in its aerial photos. And when this photo was taken the Colcord was still Class C office space.

Mr. Lackmeyer,
Where is the entry “Bricktown’s Jim Cowan Discusses MAPS 3″? I had it bookmarked but it says it doesn’t exist and I don’t see it in the list any more.
Thanks!
Larry, I’m trying to recover it now. Here’s the technical details for those interested: We had some problems with a database conversion that didn’t become apparent until today when I realized the search function was missing. While trying to recover the search function, the javascript used by KWTV on the video for the Cowan post was screwing up the rest of this site’s html. So the database editor changed the post’s status to “draft.” The post then disappeared when the site had to be rebuilt.
That said, we’ve got part of it recovered now thanks to a reader… but Jim’s response is gone. I’m going to see if Jim can’t repost his response.

Steve, please tell me a still photo of google Earth’s downtown OKC is your computer background…that would make my day
