Each Day is Precious

dallas

This Dallas tower was targeted by a terrorist this week.

In June my son and I took a trip to Dallas where I got to stay with my old friend Ryan McNeill and his wife at their apartment in West End. The view of the skyline from their apartment is stunning – and this was the building I admired most each time I woke up and looked out the window.

I’m stunned to see the following story.

That is a sickening story. In our little bubble in OKC, we may well live in the best of times. We don’t have to think very very far back in our own city, or look at the story you noted, to know that we may also live in the worst of times.

WOW…stunned indeed!

when do you think that the american people will realize that muslims here are a real and credible threat aginst our national security? probably the day after they blow up another building full of innocent people.

Thats painting with a broad brush-stroke. Its not ALL Muslims. To say “muslims here are a real and credible threat aginst our national security” is like saying, “when will people realize southern baptists are all racist?”. My opinion.

if it is not all muslims, then why do they not raise up and tell the world that these types of “fundamenatlist” do not represent them?

justin…true, true…or painting white decorated military war veterans as radical members of militia groups that will carry out terrorists bombings (Timothy McVeigh)

Understand what davey jones was trying to say (to be fair, he didn’t say “all muslims”). There are some that are indeed a “real and credible threat”, just as there are some southern baptists that are racist…

Davey: They do, people like you just don’t listen, and probably don’t know any personally to hear it.

Would’ve been quite the awakening.

Been meaning to call you about all this …

I don’t know anything more than what’s been in our paper. I was out tonight walking the puppy and didn’t realize how close the tower is to our building.
