My good friend, on August 30, you said, “At least we’ve had some fun discussions here at OKC Central, and I’ll be posting the last wave of Downtown OKC 2020 guest posts this next week. Nothing serious is at stake here – just the future direction for downtown for the next 20 years.”

The “next week” has now come and gone by and has been preempted by other worthwhile topics. I hope that you’re not decided to say no more on this thread. Just like you said, “Nothing serious is at stake here – just the future direction for downtown for the next 20 years.”

William, seriously? I hope you aren’t that gullable. WF will come,but it will be by private developers, not in MAPS 3. BTW WF announced they are opening within the next 18 months here, so why would we waste MAPS 3 dollars unnecessarily?

Mike, yes the former mayors like to pat themselves on the back so frequently it makes themselves temporarily blind to what the public really wants. Don’t worry, I’m pretty confident by inside sources that MAPS 3 WILL contain Mass Transit. They know it probably won’t pass without it.

I heard through the grapevine that the MAPS3 is going to be used to get a Whole Foods !!!!! Oh my life will be complete. How in the world has this city survived without a Whole Foods ???? Then maybe we can talk about something else. I am so sick of hearing about this store.

I watched Flashpoint last Sunday w/ Kelly Ogle,Mike Turpen, Kirk Humphreys and guest Ron Norick. The discussion was all about Maps 3 and self congratulation of Norick and Humphreys role in the past successes of MAPS. Everything was mentioned: fairground, convention, core to shore, etc. except mass transit. I don’t think the city has any intent to include mass transit. I plan on voting against any MAPS proposal that doesn’t have a substantial mass trasit component.
