Haha, he lived on my floor at Regency Tower and I see him all the time downtown. Seems like a really nice guy. He does completely fit the description though.
He’s a nice fellow, if maybe a little eccentric. A retired GM employee, who just loves hanging out downtown. I’ve chatted with him many times, back when Uncommon Grounds (RIP) was still kicking. His day then consisted of hanging out in the morning at Uncommon Grounds, and then moving over to the Buzz. Looks like he’s fulltime Buzz now. At both places he was just having a good time watching the wheels, as John Lennon put it.
Also plainly different from the news photo, other than the passing resemblence to Santa Claus.
