The Factory - an unrealized redevelopment of an entire square block in Bricktown pitched by Bert Belanger and the McLain family in 2003.

The McLain family for decades controlled an entire square block in Bricktown, starting as operators of a candy factory before converting the old warehouses into restaurants in the 1990s. In 2003 they teamed up with developer Bert Belanger and announced plans for “The Factory,” a $40 million mixed-used project. The project was scrapped when financing could not be obtained, and the McLains sold all their Bricktown holdings to homebuilder Jeff Moore in 2005. ORG XMIT: 0809292154385540
