The Yellow Boot?

That’s right, the Oklahoma City Council today will begin looking at whether to pass an ordinance that will allow police to place a yellow boot on any vehicle with more than $250 in unpaid parking tickets.
So, what do all of you think?

As long as they only use it immobilize the car until a tow truck gets there I’m fine with it. If it ends up that they are just going to leave the boot on until the fines get paid then I have a problem with it, simply from an aesthetic stand point.

Will this increase the amount of money we get in? Or will this simply result in there being a boot on a now abandoned vehicle?

Keep in mind that parking tickets are nowhere near as expensive as speeding tickets. $250 is a lot of parking tickets, whereas it would only be one or two speeding tickets these days. Ugh..
