Great Post about the city that I've called home for almost 25 years. If I didn't already live our wonderful state I would want to move here! Someday I'm going to open up a Shoppe close to Bricktown...watch me...I'm going to do it!

You are a BRILLIANT WRITER!

@ROB - Thank you!

@TR - I'm so glad you came back!

@HOLLEY - Thank you! I'd luv to hear your mother's stories of all those haunts!

@BLAIR - Thank you!

Next on my list is to compile a list of the top Gen X movers and shakers in OKC. (I mean if the JR and OKC Biz can create these lists, why can't jenX? Hahahaha!) Some of the suspects are unlikely, but obviously Rob, Holley, TR and Blair, not to mention STEVE! lead the way.

There is not a day that goes by in my almost two years back in Oklahoma that I don't stop and thank those of you who never left - who stayed and fought the good fight, buckled down in the trenches and made this city the fantastic place it has become. Some days I am embarrassed to say I ever left - perhaps this 1961 Gen-Xer can be forgiven for being born on the far end of the future. That said, with NYC, Santa Fe, San Diego, Torino,IT and Athens,GR as cities I've since lived - I can say with great authority that I've come home to by far the best.

Way to go Jen! I marvel at how far our city has come in my lifetime. I love being the life being breathed into my mom's haunts of the 60s like Downtown and The Paseo.
